Mimo’s is an actual BBQ restaurant over in the Casa da Musica area. They have a bunch of sandwiches to choose from and some pretty great home style fries as well. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich which was yummy. They open daily at 12pm.

They do a good job of copying American Barbecue, but they’re off on some things. Who takes the bones out of ribs (except McDonald’s)? I want to eat mine with my fingers and suck on the bones…
But, their pulled pork and brisket is pretty good, as are their spiced, fried potatoes. Thankfully, they’re not using the same frozen French fries that every other restaurant uses.
They also have a great beer selection.

Great Texas style BBQ. Sandwiches are delicious, all named after cities in Texas. Brisket plate is great.
